Kekku
In recent years the previously hidden Kekku Pagoda has become one of the most visited places in southern Shan State. It is situated near Mway Taw village in Taunggyi Township, about 25 kilometers from Taunggyi proper.
Kekku Pagoda built by King Nayapatashithu. After day after the full moon of Tabaung or March, the festival is over: and suddenly the people are gone, the place is deserted and still. It waits in peace for the next year, this splendid group of pagodas, and they take pride of place in the hearts of the people from Shan State.
